Asher-Andell Limited manufacture & assemble a range of Plastic Healthcare Products from a small rural production facility in Upper Broughton, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. Established over 50 years, our team of 6 continue to supply quality products to the NHS and beyond. As a result of our current Production Engineer retiring after 15 years service, we are now looking to recruit his successor. The job will suit a multi-skilled hands-on engineer, preferably with experience in Plastics Injection Moulding. However, full in-house support training will be given by our retiring engineer. Fantastic opportunity for an experienced, ambitious problem solving engineer who can write their own chapter in the Companies history!
Responsibilities will include:
- Daily setting and running of x8 Injection Moulding Machines.
- Fault finding and rectification on machines.
- Carrying out small in-house repairs to Tools & Machines.
- Liaising with 3rd party toolmakers for external repairs and new tooling.
- Ensure efficient daily production and highlight areas for improvements.
- Completion of production records in accordance with our accredited ISO9001 Quality System.
Qualifications, Skills and Personal Attributes:
- Knowledge of Plastics Injection Moulding preferable but not essential.
- Basic understanding of Electrics, Hydraulics, Pneumatics.
- Knowledge of Welding, Milling, Turning, making small Jigs & Fixtures
- Toolmaking experience not essential but would be an advantage.
- Ability to self motivate and also work with others.
- Hardworking, ambitious and hands on!
