Herries Family in and around North Berwick
Hi,I am currently tracing my maternal Herries family history from North Berwick. My Great grandfather was Gilbert Millar Herries whose name appears on the war memorial having died 2 days before the end of the 1st world war on 9/11/1918 in France. There appears to be a few Herries family members who worked in the postal service and were fairly musical singing in the Abbey Church Choir and at various social functions. Herries family members in my tree went on to marry families Bogue, Peffers, Stalker, Wilkie, Gray, Charters, Cowan, Kerr and Lapthorne. I would love to hear from anyone who may have an interest in this family and who may be able to share family stories or who have old family photographs that could help enhance my current family research.
