Job vacancy: PA / support worker

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Personal Assistant / support worker to support a very sociable young man with a spinal injury in the Thorpe Audlin area of Pontefract.
You will support him with his activity programme and help him stay connected to his social networks, both at home and in the community, promoting an active and fulfilling lifestyle as well as facilitating personal care and domestic duties.
Training and supervision will be given.
RequirementsAbout you:
Essential:
- ability to be flexible with regards to shift cover to meet the client’s needs and at times at short notice
- committed to teamwork
- the availability to pick up overtime
- you have a full UK driving licence
- you can drive an automatic and manual vehicle
- ability to build a trusting relationship
Preferred:
- you have experience of supporting someone with a spinal injury
