Anyone heard of Rachel Maitland Lawson

Hi
My husband's grandfather Charles Davidson Lawson, was born in Barnhead, Edzell, Angus on 21/12/1896. He was illegitimate and his mother was Rachel Maitland Lawson who was a domestic servant. I can't find any more information about her or the father of the baby and wondered if anyone could fill in any details. I have tried to track down information on Scotland's People but there is none available.
Charles moved at some time to Fife where he settled down and spent the rest of his life.
I would be grateful for any information.
