Searching for lost family , just hope someone can help (Please read update)

CLIFFORD SMITH (my great-uncle) was born on 9 January 1904, in Royston south Yorkshire, to Sidney Smith and lillian / Lavinia smith [Otter] smith [Otter] ,  Clifford died (killed in mine accident' Multiple injuries) on 11 September 1948, aged 44, in Bolton upon Dearne south Yorkshire. He was buried in Bolton upon Dearne.

Clifford fathered three children: Fredrick Smith 1929,Geoffrey Smith 1933, (Geoffrey worked in Peglers, Doncaster). Olive Gilbert nee[smith]. his children will have passed on now but there's a chance there families still live local. Any help at all please, my profile photo is of my grandparents Sidney & Anne Smith ,Clifford's  brother.

I found out Geoffrey Smith is still alive it was the icing on top of my cake & I hope he is well . Hope to hear from someone soon, But his daughter will not get in touch with me about Geoffrey & other family members. It's understandable he's in his 90s , which is a shame, he's the last living person that could fill in so many blank & when he passes & so much of  our family history "will be gone for ever". It's something Iv'e come across before when doing my Genealogy some people are just not very helpful, it's these times you wonder if it's worth the effort of doing your family history "when after all family is family or is it" !!!!! If there are any people that worked in  Peglers, Doncaster in the 50s 60s 70s that that could throw some light on Geoffrey Smith brother who also worked in Peglers " FREDRICK SMITH " born around 1929,any info at all would help greatly .
