Hello all,
I am new to this forum, but have lived on Canvey for 17 years.
I have noticed a regular (almost heartbeat) thumping sound each day taking place in hte Dutch village are of the island. Does anyone know what is causing this and whether it is a permanent thing?
It sounds like either a industrial level pump, or possibly a ground bore thumping action.
Any info appreciated

I don’t know what it is but it’s driving me up the WALL, all windows and doors shut and it’s echoing through the house all day every day it’s becoming unbearable. I’m not one to complain over small things but this really is driving me round the bend!

Is anybody else experiencing the constant humming sound over the past few months, it’s driving me mad and is getting progressively worse. Any advice on how to stop it. Sounds like a generator, gas works etc and seems to be going through the night, keeping many awake.
