The Hallamshire battalion from 146 Brigade, 49 Division moved from East Anglia down to two Camps at NEWICK & CHAILEY.

There were watch towers, cinemas and nearby fighter planes using an aerodrome.

Can anyone pinpoint where they were and describe them, and what it was like in those hectic days.

Your help is greatly appreciated

Many thanks - stay safe.
