The 'hands off Clavering' signs around the village!

Just wondered what these signs allude to! We were driving through the village regarding a possible move here and noticed all the signs. Is there a big housing development in the offing somewhere?
It's a beautiful village and we've seen three possibilities.
Is there much happening in the village on a week to week basis? If someone would kindly give me a taste of life in Clavering I would very much appreciate it!
Is there a docs surgery? And a totally off the wall random question this (but important to us!), which main hospital serves the village?
