Hello,

I live in Nonington, and our village entered the regional South and South-East in Bloom competition for the first time in 2017. I was involved not only with the horticulture but also pre-judging notes, on the day presentation etc. We were pleased to receive a Silver Certificate, but also Best in Category Trophy, quite a surprise!

Some of the village, and in particular the PC members seem keen to mark the occasion with Invicta-marked Signs on the village entry gates, but they have been unable to find any reference to such Signs. We know that Coldred has used plaques to celebrate your past successes in the Competition, and so I have been asked to contact anyone who may know whether such are available through the County Council etc., or whether you planned and arranged for your own, and were they funded by your own PC?

It is doubtful whether we shall be entering again, and certainly not this year! We are only a dozen strong, and it was a tough Summer!

Thank you very much for reading this. I should be delighted to hear from anyone involved with Coldred in Bloom.
