Colindale safer streets and Overdevelopment.
Road safety and overdevelopment!!
For the Last 3 years I have tried to get Barnet Highways to make our roads safer for Colindale residents, contacted local councillors/MPs.
They have just kept giving me the runaround. Not in our budget each year was the response try contacting transport for London another.
They clearly don’t give a dam about speeding vehicles and heavy goods vehicles using our small residential most of which have maximum weight limit of 7.5 tonne access only roads.
Most London Bourghs have reduced Speed limit to 20mph on residential roads as well as Calming measurements. All Barnet Council seem to want is constant overdevelopment of high rise flats make this small area of Colindale one of if not most populated areas of London.
Once all the high rise flats are complete how are schools and GPs going to cope?
Crime is also big issue as robberies and assault are escalating.
They have turned what was once a beautiful suburb into overdevelopment of flats.
Have they built more schools or Hospitals No why not because no money to be made.
Once all these flats are finished we might as well sell are cars because you will not get parking unless you pay for it like these permit zones they want to bring in and also you will walk to local shops quicker than drive because there will be so many cars on the roads than there is already.
I would like to here your views on this as I have joined this forum solely to see what other local residents think about this.
Regards.
