Hi, my Mother was friends with Phil in the early 70’s.... and some of his friends,( who are also sadly deceased now ).

Ok . you may know most of the info but basically phil was 21 when he was killed at the 1975 tt races in the 500 senior race he was riding a yamaha tz 350 bored out to 455 he crashed heavily at milltown corner which is a very fast section of the manx course.

Myself and a couple of mates who were keen race fans used to travel around the home circuits watching phil ride and being from the local area he was an obvious choice to follow, we also watched him race in the daytona 500 mile race in florida in 75, we were in the isle of man on the fateful day when he tragically lost his life at such a young age , he was the same age as myself which woulsd have made him 66 had he still been alive. Enclosed are some race photos of phil riding at various british tracks, hope this helps.
