Job vacancy: Volunteering Opportunity - Gardening Skills & CSCS - Downham Market
In June 2022 we have an opportunity for unemployed youth, between ages 16-25, to join a Green Skills project at the Salvation Army in Downham Market. The aim of our Green Skills projects is to offer unemployed young people with the opportunity to work on a real gardening/landscaping project in their local community. Participants will benefit from an opportunity to build social skills and confidence, CV and employment skills, practical hard and soft landscaping skills, teamwork, and an opportunity to gain an optional CSCS provisional health and safety card which could lead directly to employment opportunities.
We will discuss the specifics of the project at the interview stage with each applicant, but the work will include the preparation, building, and planting of raised beds as the beginnings of a new accessible garden space for the Salvation Army Church garden in Downham Market.
The project starts Tuesday 7th June and runs every Tuesday and Wednesday for 6 weeks.
This is an unpaid volunteering opportunity for unemployed youth in the Downham Market/King's Lynn area.
To apply, send a private message and we will send you an application form to fill in.
