HEDGEHOGS

Can people be careful when strimming their gardens or burning piles of branches etc , that Hedgehogs are not nesting there. 

The hedgehog rescue have had cases of Hedgehogs being sliced with a strimmer.

Also 

It would be nice if people could leave out food for them and water.

If you see a hedgehog during the day , this means it is asking for help. Please capture humanely and nicely and kindly and call the Hedgehog Rescue. When a hedgehog comes out during the day it truly is asking for help.

I feed the birds, however the seeds on the floor are TOXIC to the hedgehog, so please can you just sweep up/dustpan and brush them up before nighttime when the little Hoggies come out to dine.

Hedgehogs only eat DOG FOOD CAT FOOD AND cat biscuits. The kitten biscuits from Sainsbury’s and or Tesco their own brand is fine.  NOT BREAD AND MILK IT MAKES THEM SICK. 

Ensure to give them a drink of fresh water, make sure available daily . 

Also put animal friendly weed killer if you have to.

Look up on you tube how to feed and how to make an easy feeding station predator proof on you tube.

On Google they often refer to Hedgehogs but often they are talking about the white pigme hogs. Completely different ball game.

Just feed as I mentioned above. If you can avoid fishy food as some hogs won’t eat this,
