Am trying to find the mother of Margaret Mary Ann mckimmie born in forres in 1863 .Her father was a john McKenzie who was born in findon in culbokie Ross and cromarty Scotland. Have found a Mary Ann mckimmie who had a daughter in 1863 that would fit .Margaret went to live with her grandparents in culbokie as she is living with them on the 1871 Scotland census. Mary Ann mckimmie died in 1864 so this could possibly be Margaret's mother.As Margaret's parents weren't married don't know if this is the correct mother for her.Any help much appreciated.

Since I last posted this message i think I have found the mother of Magaret Mary Ann McKimmie b Dec 1863 in Forres Morayshire.Margaret is registered as McKimmie or McKenzie so it looks as if her parents were not married when she was born nor did they marry but John went on to marry a Jane Dunbar.I believe Margaret 's mother was Mary Ann McKimmie b 1837 Porsoy Banff d 1911 in Forres.Thanks for allowing me to join and to send this post.
