London commute

Hi,
We are looking at moving to this area from Essex. My main concern is my husband will eventually have to commute to London after lockdown, how easy is this to sustain? Do many people make this commute because as I understand the closest train station is Audley End which is a fair drive away and would then need to negotiate parking? Is this quite straight forward or not really an option please?
