Hayling U3A is now working on a project to recall the Social Development of the Island from 1919 -1946. We are very
keen to trace Hayling families who lived or worked on the island at any time during that period. We are particularly
keen to talk with family members who may have lost loved ones during WW2 as we are planning to write montages of
all those men and women who were killed as a result of serving in the forces or through enemy action on Hayling
Island.
The U3A has been awarded a Heritage Lottery Grant to carry out this research and will be producing a book and
