Helping the elderly? How can we help?

I’ve lived in Hoyland for over 20 years, kept to myself, wonderful place to live.
With the outbreak, corona. I was wondering as a area, community, anything we can do for elderly for example shopping, etc.
For anyone, who may have any judgements, pre- conception I am mixed Africa/asian, hope this does not put anyone off, for me I don’t judge anyone on any grounds race, colour, gender, etc. My grandfather was war hero, received a medal of honour from the queen for saying British arm soldiers. WW2.
At this moment, we need it help the elderly, who may have to isolate them selfs, can’t get out, for me it’s the least we can do.
please let me know your thoughts or ideas
