Thinking of moving to Kegworth (Question regarding airport / plane noise)
Good morning all!
My wife and I are thinking of moving to Kegworth (near Whatton Road). After exploring the area we have decided we love the village, and the house. Couple of things that put us off are the distant traffic noise from the motorway (which we can live with) and the low flying aircraft noise (which we are not sure about).
We have tried to spend a bit of time in the area to gauge the level of noise and it is rather loud, nevertheless the frequency of flights seems inconsistent. Sometimes quite a bit of time seems to go by without any flying over and other times we see about three within twenty minutes.
We were wondering what the opinion is from people that have lived in the area for a long time or have recently moved? How bad is it? Especially at night? How often do they fly over? I guess most people will say you get used to it after a time.
