helping the people in the earthquake zone in turkey
hi i have just returned from 3 days in adana in turkey laden with all sorts gifted by boots here in marlborough ; never been to a war zone before and it was really humbling to help a large family from syria who had fled their home to turkey and now homeless living in 2 small tents with 3000 others; the 6 hot water bottles went in seconds as did all my thermals and a little boy wanted my bag which i gladly gave him ;why am i writing this i am not sure ! but 6 weeks ago i was told my terminal cancer had spread and to be honest i didnt feel i could carry on living until i saw those pictures from turkey and syria ; i intend to go back soon i hope with another bag full and its nice to travel back to uk just with a small ruck sack ! so why write this well i hope it inspires those who are lonely , in pain , thanks .
