WHIST & CONTRACT BRIDGE
Hi,
I set up the WHIST & BRIDGE Group about 2 years ago. We play in the committee room of the Phoenix Hall in Netheravon on Monday afternoons from 2pm until 3.30pm the we have FREE tea & coffee plus a piece of cake and a catch-up until 4pm.
Its £1 each session to pay the rent for the room. We have 4 tables available.
Contract Bridge is the big brother of Whist as it involves the extra interest of each pair trying to win at least the number of "tricks" they predicted they would win. Whist is a simpler game but takes some skill nonetheless. It can be played by children and adults so is a great family game. Both are ideal for keeping the brain working!!!
Alan plays in the Devizes Bridge Club tournaments and on-line with Bridge Club Live. He teaches both Whist and Contract Bridge using the ACOL system of bidding (Bridge) and has books to lend to new players.
Just turn up.
