Hello

According to the 1901 Census, my great grandfather James Nixon was the innkeeper at the Globe Inn. The census shows the civil parish as Castle Sowerby, the ecclesiastical parish as Raughton Head with St Jude Gatesgill.

Does anyone know if the Globe Inn was in Raughton Head, a village as opposed to an area like Castle Sowerby?

Thank you

Chris Nixon
