Seeking information on the Speights of Low Mill
I am interested in contacting anyone who is researching or has researched the Speights of Low Mill, who lived there from c. 1797 till some time in the 1830s when they all moved to Co Durham. I came across some posts on this forum made by Bob Speight in 2006 in Shropshire Archives (I did not have Internet then.) He had done quite a lot on the family, but assumed that descendants of this branch had died out. I could not get in touch with him at the time, but a visit to St. Bees last week spurred me on to investigate further. Is Bob still with us? If so I should very much like to hear from him. He also mentioned a lady who had been working on the family with whom he was in contact. I should like to make contact with any other descendants of the Low Mill family to compare notes. My branch settled in Sunderland, but there are none there now. I was born in London, but have lived in Shropshire for 53 years.
