Terrible service from Papa John’s

Recently we’ve had a Papa John’s open in St Ives. Never used them before so thought I’d give them a try. 

I’m working nights at the moment so only have a few hours from getting up and going back on shift. Delivery pizza ideal solution when very tired and not wanting to cook.

ordered a pizza from papa John’s and waited. Delivery driver couldn’t find my address so he phoned me snd I guided him to my appartment building, waited for door bell to ring to take delivery. 5 minutes later driver phoned me again and asks when am I coming down to the car park to get my pizza. I was dumbfounded! I said what are you talking about, you must deliver it to my door. He said it must be contactless. I said I’ve no problem with that. Leave it at my front door and ring the bell. Then I’ll give you time to walk away and open the door. He said no he won’t come into the building to walk to my apartment. I’m in my dressing gown as I’ve only just got up. He wants me to walk down three floors, walk out of my building in my dressing gown to take delivery from his car. This is not delivery!! If I’d have known all this I wouldn’t have ordered from them. All other companies deliver to the door. Domino’s certainly do. 

I refused to walk to the drivers car so the driver left. I phoned the store to complain and demand a refund. The store refused me a refund and said it was against their policy as I should have gone to the car to get my pizza. This is outrageous behaviour and as far as I’m concerned, it’s theft. 

Do not use this company. Their service is terrible!
