Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me. I'm looking into my family tree and my great grandad moved to ferndown in approx 1965. From what my nana could tell me before she passed away was that it was an old cafe on ringwood road which he extended to make into a motel. She had no more information than this. As my great grandad past away in 1967 we are unsure if the motel ever opened. I believe it was called pinewoods motel and had a caravan park behind. It is now a furniture store. It is over the road from the beefeater - I think my dad said smugglers haunt. I have attached a picture of my dad sat outside the motel in 1966. My great grandads name was Joseph Dickenson and if anyone has any information or memories it would be great to hear. Thanks
