Looking for someone on behalf of my Mum

My Mum, who is 87 years old, was, until recently, in regular telephone contact with the following person at this postal address:-

Diane Batchelor
Beech Close
Meadow Way
Willand
Devon

(I have kept house number & postal code private)

I believe they met, many years ago, whilst on holiday and subsequently kept in touch via telephone & birthday/Christmas cards.
However, for about 3 months +, my Mum has not received any contact/been able to contact Ms Batchelor. It would seem, during their last telephone call, Ms Batchelor intimated she was not well & would have to undergo hospital treatment. 
Since then, my Mum has lost contact and is fearing the worst that Ms Batchelor may have passed away. Unfortunately my Mum has no way of establishing what has happened, as she lives in Suffolk - which is quite a distance from Willand, Devon, and does not know anyone in Willand whom she can contact.

So this is why I have, on behalf of my Mum, taken the liberty of contacting you in the hope you may be able to assist.
I know it would be of great comfort to my Mum to find out what has happened to Ms Batchelor - even if it is not good news.
