I am researching my family tree from Australia and have hit a brick wall in finding the details of my 4th great grandmother's details. According to census records, her son Joseph Nicholson (cordwainer/warehouseman), my 3rd great grandfather, was born in Ambleside/Hawkshead c 1814. According to his marriage certificate, his father's name was William and he was a labourer.
Are you able to advise who I could contact in Ambleside, to see if there may be church/birth records which are not currently available online.

Our I Pad Air has gone missing and the last time we used it (we think) was Father's Day and we had it at Ambleside. It is engraved on the back. Please can anyone help?

iPhone 6 found near crazy golf in Ambleside around 12 .30 on sat 10 th april
Phone was found in the road by myself and my wife who were out walking. The screen was locked there was a message asking anyone who found phone to ring a no on the screen. Could not do this as the screen was locked. When we got back from our walk and looked at the phone the battery had died and the phone switched off. There was also another message what the rightfull owner would know it would be great to re unite phone and owner hope you can help

My dad has lost his signet wedding ring that's been on his finger for 53 years! It has his initials GTW on it. Last had it in Ambleside. Also walked on to Scandale Bridge. Please share in the local area. Any info please contact the forum. Thank you Sadie

between 5pm and 8pm on Friday 20th November I lost my silver links of London bracelet with a metallic clasp. It must have fallen off somewhere between old lake road, Dodds and Compston road near zafferellis. I retraced my route several times so someone must have picked it up. It was a gift and I would very much like it back if you've found it.

We were at Ambleside Car park on Tuesday 15 September 2015 at around 13:00.
It is the car park you drive over the bridge to get to and there is an outdoor shop on the car park as you leave to go to the town.
I think it is Rydal Road Car Park.
After using the toilet facilities and washing my hands I walked out to the car park shaking them dry.
Later in the day I realised my ring was missing.
It is a White Gold Band Ring around 20mm deep with twists and set in Diamonds.
