Found on Berry Head Road, just beside Grenville House at about 1400 on Saturday 30 Mar. There is a small amount of money inside, and nothing else. Jon 07766055887

Food shops & Restaurants In Brixham - 0 replies
Hi All,
Just arrived in Brixham for a week. Looks like a lot of the restaurants are still closed. Any recommendations for those open? Also some good local shops for bread esp sourdough, meat, pasties and fresh fish?
Thanks very much

Hi we are in the process of buying our dream home by the harbour. Our only problem is that it doesn't have parking. Is there anyone with space to sell or rent to us.

SAVE GOLDEN VANITY - 0 replies
DESPERATE HELP NEEDED in saving the flagship of Brixham, the Golden Vanity.
It saddens me to say the Golden Vanity Trust is no longer supporting the Golden Vanity. Although the Golden Vanity has been sailing under the Trinity Trust umbrella, Golden Vanity was given to the Trinity Trust, debt free earlier this year. It was thought that Trinity Trust was in a good financial and viable situation that would enable Golden Vanity to continue as the flagship of Brixham and continue to help disadvantaged people. A few weeks after Golden Vanity was given away, it was announced that Trinity Trust will be closing and all assets sold! CATASTROPHE. Golden Vanity, like all ladies of mature years, of course needs maintenance. We have spoken to the Harbour master, Mr Parnell and subject to a business plan being put forward for Golden Vanity, he is more than willing to help accommodate the Golden Vanity, where she belongs, in BRIXHAM Harbour. Mr Parnell is also contacting Andrew at MDL boatyard in Galmpton whereby Golden Vanity can be hauled out and any works she needs to be be done.
Tony Knight, a well respected Skipper and Artist, he is more than willing and prepared to help put Vanity where she belongs in BRIXHAM.
It’s extremely sad that the Trinity Trust has/is closed but we are hoping that Mr Reilly of Trinity Trust will of course give Golden Vanity back. We spoke to the Vanity Trust this morning and they feel that because of their age they do not have the capacity and will to support Golden Vanity anymore. A big thank you to the Trustees for what they have achieved over the last 40 years.
Vanity was built in 1908, she’s not doing too bad for an old Girl is she? She needs younger people to form a new Trust, she also need Carpenters, Shipwrights and people who can use sandpaper and a paint brush. THE FRIENDS OF GOLDEN VANITY! Let us unite in bringing her back to her home in BRIXHAM. Mr Reilly of the Trinity sailing Trust, will you kindly give Golden Vanity back? Thank you.
