Lost: Young escaped feral cat - 0 replies

Sukish Posted by Sukish in Lost and found in Chipping Norton on Tue Nov 21, 2023 4:57pm

Hi all, sadly my new cat has escaped via broken micro-chip cat flap. She is an ex feral rescue cat and incredibly nervous so it is unlikely that anyone will be able to catch her but I'm reaching out to see if anyone has spotted her. I live in the Rockhill area but she could be anywhere as she will be in hiding. I've done all the usual and will be distributing flyers tomorrow but thought it worth posting on any forum I can find. Attached is a photo. I'd be grateful for any news if she is spotted by anyone. Worried and stressed.

Pigeon Fanciers! Anyone want a free family of White Doves from Charlbury? - 0 replies

Pigeon Fanciers! Anyone want a free family of White Doves from Charlbury?
Anyone want a ready-made extended family of White Doves??

Anyone know any such a pigeon-fancier who could take them in? (I've had no reply from some emails sent off to a couple of associations as yet, but it is vacation season).

The Doves may be gone at a moments notice if we get a pigeon-bailiff's cancellation opportunity!

The growing brood of Doves that have colonised underneath our solar panels have got to go. It started with 4 now it seems to be upwards of 8! They seem to be sticking together as a family group and breed true - i.e. all the new birds are white, too.

It occurs to us that some pigeon-person might like to have a true-breeding number of pairs before they are evicted by the pigeon-proofing-of-solar-panels-people we're hoping to get at in at the soonest available date (i.e any cancellations that come up before the logged appointment).

So if you do have any suggestions for contacts please pass them on.

This cottage has been stunningly modernised by the present owners to a very high standard. You may enter the property into the large open plan sitting /dining room which has been transformed to include a new solid oak staircase, Cotswold stone walls, Oak flooring and a new Clearview multifuel stove. The room has modern lighting and radiators as well as a southerly aspect allowing for an abundance of natural light.

The kitchen has a range of wall and base units, integrated appliances and access through to the conservatory with its views over the garden.

The first floor, with vaulted ceilings throughout, is accessed via a stunning oak staircase leading to a landing with exposed beams. The bedrooms have been finished to a high standard whilst retaining their period features. The two modern bathrooms have under floor heating, showers and are thoughtfully designed.

Outside:
To the front of the property there is parking for three vehicles whilst there is pretty wrought iron fencing surrounding the front of the cottage. To the right of the property there is a gate leading through to the rear garden.

The rear garden has been completely refurbished to a very high standard to incorporate a tiered garden including seating areas for dining and entertaining, lawns and a more practical space for a bin/log store. There is also a garage ideal for a home office if required. The rear garden is enclosed by wooden fencing and trellis allowing for more privacy.

Situation:
Middle Barton is one of the area's larger villages and is situated midway between Banbury and Oxford. The village offers a range of amenities, which include a village shop/post office, public houses serving food, primary school and church. The village is conveniently located for Banbury, Oxford and Chipping Norton. M40 motorway access can be gained from junction 10 at Ardley plus there are rail links from Charlbury, Lower Heyford and Oxford Parkway (approx one hour to London Marylebone). Soho Farmhouse is approx 5 miles away. The cottage is on a quiet lane with no-through traffic.

Took my daughter to the common to play on the swings, as soon as we walk in the park Dragonite appears.

Unfortunately I wasn't prepared..no razberries, a few pokeballs & only 1 ultraball. It ran away !!! I won't give up though...
