Hello. Thanks for letting me join.
I am researching my ancestry, taking over from where an older relative left off.
My paternal Great Grandfather was George Jones who was born in Fownhope around 1825. He moved to Withington and was working as a farm servant at Thinghill Court in 1851. He subsequently moved to Cheltenham, Glos, married there and died there sometime before 1890. This is all that has been found, so far.
If anyone here has any information of George Jones or his family I would be very grateful. (I don't have a subscription to Ancestry or other such websites at the moment)

I am new to this forum and I am trying to help a friend, she is looking for the book bag for St Mary's C of E Primary School for Monday so her little girl can start her first day at school in the complete uniform.
