Hi
I’m coming to Gargrave for a weeks holiday from 5th April . I would like to see if there are any local carers , who would give me respite and let me go on a walk with my son on a few occasions . The carer would need to look after my wife , Tracey, who at 59 has early onset dementia . We would toilet her and leave food so the person would just need to keep my wife safe for 3 to 4 hours on 4 separate occasions . She can’t communicate well but is friendly and would love some female company . Would pay £20 per hour or more if necessary . Thank you Mark Davenport , Peckham , London .

Hi, my wife and I have recently moved to this area from North Wales we have booked a short break in Scotland in October and we are looking for a suitable dog minder for our 11 year old dog. I found one on the web site in Gargrave which looks ok but couldn’t find any contact detail, if anyone can recommend somewhere suitable I would appreciate it.
Kind regards Emlyn & Susan

We are currently thinking about moving to Gargrave but are concerned about noise pollution from the traffic. How busy does the high street get normally. We have seen a property advertised for sale on the high street and wondered if it would be too noisy. Also what’s t(e primary school like? The 2017 ofsted report doesn’t paint a good picture but wondered if things have improved?
