Beesleys of Goosnargh - 4 replies

BruceBeasley Posted by BruceBeasley in Ancestry and family history in Goosnargh on Mon Jul 12, 2021 10:09pm

I'm researching my Beesley ancestry in Goosnargh and surrounding areas of Lancashire (Whittingham, Barnacre, Bleasdale, Woodplumpton) in the 16th and 17th century and would love to hear from anyone who has researched this family.  I've gathered a great deal of information but still have much more to learn.  In particular I'm tracing the family of George Beesley of Goosnargh who lived roughly 1540-1600 at The Hill in Goosnargh and The Brooks in Bleasdale.  I am trying to trace the ancestors of Robert Beasley who emigrated to Carolina colony in America in the late 1670s.   Bruce Beasley

Drink driving - 0 replies

Each day when walking to the local post office passing Bushells Care Home and down Mill Lane I find discarded empty drink cocktail cans such as Capt. Morgan Spiced Rum, Bacardi and Coke and even quarter bottles of cheap brandy.  This is almost a daily occurrence which suggests that someone is sitting in a car outside of the care home and then driving whilst under the influence of drink.  The volunteer litter pickers also find the same types of empty drink etc. in other parts of the village.

Goosnargh is the largest parish (geographically) in the country and local police cannot patrol such a large area.
