I have reported the use of cannabis at Age UK in Lyminge to Kent Police and copied in the Folkestone & Hythe MP Damian Collins. This is our MP's response.
Dear Mr Grehan,
I very much appreciate your concern. The police will deal with reports in a proportionate way and are not always able to provide details of actions taken.
Due to the evidence being a video of a person smoking it may be the case that, in itself, there is no way to tell that they were doing something contrary to the law. In future, you can report crimes to 101 or anonymously to Crime stoppers.
I hope that you are making the most of the bank holiday.
Kind regards,
Damian Collins
Member of Parliament for Folkestone and Hythe
Damian was sent the video and if he had viewed it he would have heard they confess to smoking the drug before leaving in a hurry.
I did ring 101 but after 20 minutes nobody answered, so that is why I went and confronted them.
I have lived in Lyminge for 22 years and this is not the first time I have witnessed the use of cannabis. How do I get the police and the MP to take notice?
Regards, David Grehan
