Tank accident at Crown Island in the 1960s - 0 replies

GeoffY Posted by GeoffY in General Nottingham discussion on Wed Oct 18, 2023 2:56pm

Hi does anyone remember a tank rolling off it's transporter at the Crown Island in the 1960s or maybe early 1970s. I'm sure I remember a tank coming round from Middleton Boulevard and rolling over into the entrance of the petrol station that was there then, it's a car dealer now, I can't find anything about it and I am questioning my memory now 😞. I grew up on Gate Street at the bottom of Radford Bridge Road.
