Very little is known about the elusive Evan "Taffy" Morgan. Here is what we know -

27 Feb 1896-1900 - born Cardiff

13 Nov 1922 - Enlisted RAN, NSW, Sydney, Service #13624;

9 July 1927 - Marriage, Hobart, Tasmania, aged 28 (YOB 1899)

19 July 1930 - Discharged RAN, NSW 

8 Feb 1936 - Birth of  daughter Jenniva, aged 40 (YOB 1895) - other children were Evan, Gwen & Mary (all born in Australia)

5 May 1941 - re-enlisted, DOB stated as 27 Feb 1900

14 Oct 1954 - President Cambrian Society, Hobart

1974 - died aged 78, Hobart (YOB 1896); NAA Death Record #13624 A8322/32347134

He may have been a merchant marine. His parents are likely to have been named Evan & Gwen.

It is believed he is from Pentyrch and his father was a miner.

With the very common name it has been hard to find any definitive information about him in the UK.
