Hi...I have recently discovered that many of my ancestors came from Romaldkirk. The family names I have uncovered are Taylor, Wrightson, Dent and Bayles. I recently visited Romaldkirk on a mission to discover their graves only to discover that there are lots of gravestones with those names on. I am interested particularly in my 4 X Great Grandma Nancy Wrightson who married John Taylor in 1812. I would love to find out anything about them. Thank you.

Hi All
My name is Doug Bourne and I live in Dursley Gloucestershire famous for R. A. Lister Agricultural machinery and garden furniture (park benches etc) Sadly gone now.
I am now retired, I worked in the Nuclear industry at Berkeley nuclear Laboratories in research and development, not bombs just for civil engineering.
I am now looking into my ancestry and have been lucky enough to get back to late 15th century. Many local names weave in and out as do local place names ie Bowes, Cotherstone, B Castle. Staindrop, Winston even as far out as St Johns Chapple Weardale
