Posted by Hi I have just joined your forum and would like to introduce myself. My name is Ruth and I am searching my mother's family history the GARLICK'S. When I was in my teens my uncle brought me to The Wanted Inn because the landlord then, had a sign that had been over the door with the name of Charles Garlick.
Upto now the Garlick's have mainly been around Prestwich, Salford and Oldham areas. I decided that that 'Charles Garlick' must be from another family.
Recently I have found in the 1690's my family have moved to Derbyshire, around Taxal and Chapel-En-Le-Frith. Now I am thinking was there anything in the information I had found earlier and would like to find out more.
If anybody has any recollections I would be pleased to hear from you.
