At about 12.15 tonight New year morning a bald man wearing glasses about 6 ft tall came to our back gate swearing and threatening me for letting off fireworks for new year. He ran off and hit and dented the car of our guest that was parked in the drive. I don't know what his problem was but we have him on cctv. Just to let him know the pictures will be with the police tomorrow. There were loads of fireworks going off why pick on us.

I was really pleased to find this forum as we have recently moved to Wingerworth from the West Midlands and are keen to become involved in community life. I am a retired Probation Officer and my husband is a retired teacher. Between us we have a wide range of interests that include art ( I am a self taught mixed media artist ) crafts of many varieties, history ( we are particularly interested in the local history of Wingerworth Hall etc.), wildlife, to name but a few. My husband is a keen model railway enthusiast and follower of a non-league football team. Our new home has inspired us to garden, a newly acquired and developing interest. I was a long standing member of a thriving amateur dramatic group and have already joined The Hasland Theatre.
We have both been impressed by the friendliness of the people in the local area and look forward to joining in with local activities.
