I used to live in Bromley but moved to Norwich a couple of years ago.  We have a very active Streetlife community and have been encouraging people to move to this site, which quite a few have done.  We believe that Streetlife have been deleting the posts that recommend this site so have been sending private messages or putting a cryptic message to find the site.

Like you, we're all concerned with Nextdoor showing our address. Especially as I don't think it's advertised.  I found that out by chance by looking at the 'My local neighbours' headline and was angered to see my full name and address publicised.  I live in a small close so even without my house number my home would be easily found.

Some of us have been voicing our concerns to the ICO - who look at data protection.

Vinny - you have 6 days to go to start sending private messages to your fellow Bromley Streelifers about this site - that's if you have the little green tick which verified your address ..... mmmm I wonder if that was to do with their selling out to Nextdoor.  Have you had any comments on your local Streetlife site about the take-over - Norwich had a lot of comments?

Well I hope other Bromley Streetlife members join.

thank you for your reply!  No I did not bother with green tick. Some members of the Bromley group have reacted decisively and built a Facebook group for ex members which by now 444 people joined (me as well).  I find FB difficult to use though and prefer a forum like this one. There is now such a big gap in the provision that something will happen, I hope, either here or on another platform. I have also joined Streetbank, but that site is not too busy just yet

there was a lot going on behind the scene  with streetlife from what i heir if you look at the nextdoor and SL FB page a lot are not happy as thay are holding your info even if you delete your info  

A member from our Norwich Streetlife has set up another forum which some of us are also joining.  It's good that people from all over are not happy with Streetlife selling out to Nextdoor and forming other groups.

Andy - how are they keeping our information?

Hi HeyJan54 from what i read you give them your info address ect ect you then delete your your account for what ever  thay keep your info  thay do not delete it and  can use it for what thay wish  this is reading there FB page and reviews
