I hope all are well and hoping you could help me and a big employer in the area Bucher. So please share with anyone you know that might be interested in getting into Engineering. I will be running an assessment day in Dorking on Monday 20th February:

Ask yourself this….

Are you looking for an opportunity to get into engineering or maybe just looking for a career change and would consider engineering?

Orion Electrotech are proud to have partnered with Bucher Municipal in Dorking to support their continuous growth plan while offering you that path into engineering as a Trainee Welder or Robert Operator.

Bucher Municipal produce the highest quality machines across the sewer cleaning, road sweeping and winter maintenance industries. With over a 200 year heritage, they’ve constantly been driven by change; ensuring clean and safe environments, while embedding continuous improvement into everything they do.

This is an opportunity to work with one of the world biggest organisations in their market, learn, earn and build your career in engineering. If successful, you will be enrolled in the Bucher Welding Academy where you will be fully trained gaining the skills of MIG welding and Welding Robot Operating, with a further option of TIG welding available. Working alongside and being mentored by some of the finest welders in the industry…

What’s in it for you?

Well alongside working for a market leading organisation, learning alongside some of the finest in the business on state of the art equipment. You will be on a starting rate of £10.56p/h initially working on an early shift 5:45am to 1:45pm while you undertake your training. After six months you will move to the standard alternating double dayshift 5:45am to 1:45pm & 2:15pm to 10:15pm alternating on a weekly basis… BUT you will receive an extra 20% shift allowance on top of your pay packet with a path and guidance to grow your hourly rate as your skill level increases. That’s not forgetting the more than generous benefit package you get that includes a above market value pension scheme, holiday allowance, life cover and the company bonus  scheme…. What’s not to love?

So your next steps:

We are running a Weld Academy Assessment Day on Monday 20th February onsite in Dorking where you will get the opportunity to see if this career path is for you.
