I think I have traced my 4th Great Grandmother in the Garbols, Glasgow in 1841, her name is Ann  Oxley and I think she is living with her father Kenneth Munro. Ann was widowed in 1840 and on the census her occupation is tobacconist, I found her marriage to Thomas Oxley in 1823.

I want to know more about Kenneth Munro and the family, where they lived after the 1841 census and when did he die and where he was born.

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks Andrea

Hello Andrea

I think I may well have a connection to the people you are talking about .. I found the 1841 census with Ann Oxley .. interstingly on it there is a Barnnet Munro .. on my family tree I have a Bernard Munro who married a Sarah Richardson who in turn had a son Hugh Munro who was the father of my grandmother Jane Smith Munro.

I have Kenneth Munro as a tobacconist who died in 1856.

If you think this is a connection to you I am more than happy to share what info I already have.

Regards
