With the costs of living set to rise again, transport poverty has recently been recognised as an additional financial burden that low-income households are struggling with. However, currently, local transport policies and anti-poverty strategies do not directly confront the transport poverty issue.
Hosted by transport inequalities experts from The University of Manchester, this event is an opportunity to join speakers from councils, community organisations and charities across Greater Manchester to discuss the experiences of local people and highlight the important issues that need to be tackled.
