Is there a shop that has modern electric wall fires and stoves on show (Working)?

I need a shop that has working modern electric wall fires and stoves on show. I need to buy one of each but do not want to buy without viewing them working. I don't want to make the same mistake we made when we bought our real flame gas fire years ago and then realised that the fire needed to always be on high to show a decent affect of real flames. I need to see the look of the fire while working.
I understand that the new electric wall fires and stoves can be also used without heat all year round for a cosy look to the room anytime, which is what I need.
Anywhere please within a few miles if Kingston or Wimbledon, Epsom, Morden, New Malden, Sutton etc.
Any help appreciated, but the fires or at least some of them must be on show working.
