Roman River Music rounds off its September festival with an intriguing concert in Chappel Station on Sunday 15 September at 3pm (note the time). A world-class quartet of string players, including Roman River’s artistic director Orlando Jopling, will play Beethoven’s ‘Serioso’ quartet and Steve Reich’s mesmerising ‘Different Trains’ based on experiences of train journeys before, during and after World War 2. This makes use of pre-recorded words and sounds. Chappel Station provides a perfect setting for this unique work.
