Art classes - 0 replies
Hi everyone , I live in landkey and was wondering if there is a local art group. I am a beginner so I cannot compete with accomplished artists but having dabbled in a course at college, would like to continue.
Speeding traffic on manor road - 0 replies
I live in manor road and have just lost my second cat to speeding drivers along manor road. The last one was killed 2 years ago in the same spot. We have put up signs asking drivers to drive slowly but to no avail. I hope these drivers feel bad about causing so much heartache to families. The pets are part of our family and the loss is felt immensely . We are not the only family to have lost a pet along this road. During the harvest, the tractors are just as terrible. PLEASE drive with care in future and spare a thought for the families who’ve lost a pet. I’d like to thank the lady who came to tell us and the lady who covered him up so it didn’t frighten the children coming out of school. Also to the lovely man who washed down the road so we didn’t have a reminder of where it happened. Thank you.
Flooding in Village - 0 replies
Today we have seen flooding in several areas of the village. But we are particularly concerned about the flooding at the bottom of Tanners Road.
Even when we had flooding across the area, in 2012 I think, we did not see anything and the rivers coped with the volume of water.
This raises the question why has it happened now? Surely it is NOT a coincidence that there is building work happening in the higher fields from the park.
Surely the Parish council need to be in discussion with the developers immediately to question the continuing development and a solution for the future to prevent this happening again.
It would be reassuring to know when this has happened and the outcome. Perhaps a village meeting needs to be called?
