yes I agree totally. Streetlife was more inclusive, local and intimate.

More like a conversation amongst friends with the occasional amusing spats, advice, reccomendations and general local information, whilst retaining anonymity.

I don't want to "pick and choose" this feels more like "free ads" or gumtree.

Hugh, I tend to agree. Page looks too cluttered - and too many adverts. I think I'd like to have my emails in defaulted to just the Bognor forum comments only. If I want to see more I can look for more!

However, better privacy than Nextdoor. They clearly had no intention of protecting users!

Hope of help Jan.

there was a time when all I had to do was click on Streetlife and see a list of recent posts.

These pages are too cluttered .

Attempting to follow a thread is not user friendly.

With a busy life I want simplicity and little effort.

I agree. Lately I have been scanning my email notifications and then opening the link to the reply or post but getting a bit peed off doing that so you probably won't see me much any more. Shame, but Streetlife was a good idea except the moderators lived in their own little hygienic closed cupboard. Nextdoor is so quiet so I guess things will drift along until someone wakes up to the fact we don't want to see adverts or know what is happening in Liverpool, Great Blakenham, Maidstone or Portsmouth for that matter.

PS isn't it maddening the way  the words/letters  keep separating at the end of the line.

You're right - no streetlifers and if there are I don't see any posts like before. Nextdoor hasn't anything either so let's call it quits and fade into the wilderness as all good cowboys do..............................

It's called bad programming character auto wrap NOT line-length/space auto wrap or orphan wrap (with or without hyphen) The real problem is that the programmers forget the little things that we all take for granted. When one writes or types we know that "supercalifragalistic" wont go on the end of the line - in the composition window everything os good but when viewed as a post - Oops! However, this appears to have been corrected.
