Who needs it? Whatever I post on here, no one ever replies. I can Tweet what I want!

I reply when I can....always read the daily update when it appears but haven't had a lot to say lately!

I don't tweet either!

Changing the subject...one of our favourite (!) subjects on Streetlife has resurfaced on Heacham Facebook page....you guessed it...the ducks. New residents of the village are asking why there aren't signs, etc....have told them it's been suggested to the PC...so we will see if they have any success.

Oh no they don't! I keep trying to get threads going but feel I am flogging a dead horse.

Jan- my point was that MLF has not taken off like Streetlife did, which was quite a vibrant discussion forum. I've been trying in my own small way to affect the same here. At one point I said I was dropping out and some ex SLifers said no, don't we'll mis you, etc. But MLF remains pretty much stagnant. You say this is your site- I was trying to make it a success. Counting posts and responses to prove me wrong is a bit counterproductive, I would say.

Thank you. I was having a bit of playful banter but never mind.

As we keep reminding you ..this site is not Streetlife or ever wanted to be, as copying another forum is not on. It is an independent forum started a few years back long before Streetlife closed down.

This forum has many members, who use and enjoy the forum, and have not used Streetlife and it has been going as My local forum before the closure of Streetlife. To be honest I had never heard of Streetlife until it closed down.

We are happy to have the Streetlife members on here and we have happily made some changes from the suggestions given, as we do with all our members suggestions, but all forums are different and we are not a copy of Streetlife.

Thank you.

I'm not about to start counting and checking. I know when I come on MLF every day just in case- because I do have the e mail alert for replies- things are not happening. In fact, this is probably the liveliest debate I've started. There may be odd replies on the various threads I've started, but generally speaking, I feel I'm flogging the ex equine, as I said. Like I said though, it's a bit counter-productive when the site  owner has to indulge in "Oh no it isn't"/"Oh yes it is" to try and argue a site is vibrant or otherwise.. As I said, I have tried hard to get ex SL bods to contribute on here. If all I get is Jan correcting me, I think I'll give up anyway. Problem is, as I said some time back, and someone recently on the Norwich forum, there doesn't seem to be a mechanism on here to extricate oneself.

It's up to you.

And my point- likewise banter in referring to Twitter- was that many SL-ers urged registering with MLF and have since remained quiet. The Heacham Forum is stagnating as far as I can see.
