One of my Great Aunts, Lucy Alice Shaw, from Retford, was on the very left, in this photo, which was taken on 10 March, 1918 and, sent, as a postcard, to her parents in Retford, from 'Somewhere in France'.
Could your Great Aunt or Grandmother have been any one of the five young women to her right?
Lucy writes: 'Best Love to all, Lucy. The girl fourth from me is in the same office as I am. All these girls sleep in the same hut as I do'.
I believe all these women were serving in Queen Mary's Army Auxiliary Corps.
