Hi Jabber,

I was amazed that you got so far back researching your family tree . I have my family tree only back to about 1834. Most of it my uncle gave to me before he died and he researched it for many years, most of it before the age of computers so that was quite a feat in those days.

We are getting  lots more members coming on here now from streetlife so that may help to get the forum busier.

Have a good weekend.

Jan

Hi,

I'm currently researching four family trees - my mothers' ( back to 1700, but with a few gaps), my Dad's (more complicated because it covers lots of different countries, so just back 2 generations). My partners Dad's side (back to 1840's but very complicated as he has lots of family with the same/similar names who have married with common named people!) and his Mum's tree (just started, but there seems very little information available). I really need to focus on one at a time, but when I reach a 'barrier' I tend to swop onto another.
