I expect Leamo will be back soon

I'm ok - I won't be going far but have a few things to sort our in other areas - Maybe Leamo is in another area at the moment.

Hi Jack and Jabber - you are definitely not alone.  But far away in distance only.  A wonderful thing about the internet.

We had a community on Streetlife which recently sold to an American company and some of us are not happy with their publicising our address so we have luckily found this site.

Some members are based in Norwich but I'm happy to converse with others however far afield and have been researching my family history for quite a few years.

I have cousins in Durham who I hope to finally visit this year and was born in Manchester.  My family roots take me to Macclesfield.

Keep in touch.

Regards Jan

Jack,

Sorry I forgot to answer your other query. I work at Chichester University as a Hospitality Supervisor. I came to Chichester to do a BA degree in Creative Writing with English and History as a 43 year-old student, as my marriage was breaking up. I love the buzz of the University, so I never left. Things are starting to change this year as many of the top people in the University are retiring, In my Department we have had many staff changes too, so its beginning to become more of a challenge.

Hi, where your cousins live? I am in Consett, about 10 mile from Durham.

Helloooooooo echo echo echo :)

I am the only one on my forum too (Yeadon)  thought I would look in here.

Don't even know how to get more members in my local forum as I don't have a facebook page and never had personal emails of all my friends on streetlife.

I know the feeling, the people on here seem to vanish, what you do in Yeadon?

Probably - Bishop Aukland and Newton Aycliff are bit in the middle of nowhere.
