Hey everyone!

My family and I may possibly be relocating within the next year, and as exciting as it may be, I am also finding the prospect of it quite daunting. Fortunately my husband has already been offered a job, hence the relocating part. We have 2 children, a son who will be 12 at the time of the move and a 9 year old daughter.

We currently live in a quiet village just outside Cambridgeshire and I’m keen to still have that village feel when we move, but with amenities nearby. I need to start looking at good primary schools for my daughter as she will be completing her last 2 years, and my son will be starting year 8.

If you have any good recommendations on schools/nice villages I’d hugely appreciate it! Also any other general tips for relocating or good things in the area to get involved with.

Has anybody got a large or extra large dog crate that they want to sell?.

New! Le Creuset Cast Iron bundle. 

All of these items are new and unused. Amazing quality and very heavy.

There are 3 what I would describe, as hot plates, 1 casserole dish and 1 oven pot.

I have no space for them as we have recently moved so selling as they really are fantastic items. 

Happy to receive offers individually or as a bundle but ideally want to sell as a set.

Due to the weight I would have to ask for collection only unless somebody is happy to pay a rather hefty postage!.

Hi I am interested in finding out about my family.

My father was adopted with his sister

William Able Thomas of 5 Oliver Place Birkenhead

His sister Hilda Thomas                

Their mother was Sarah Damon

Father Albert Thomas

They were married in Weymouth. In 1914

They died very young Albert 41 Sarah 32

Sarah died in childbirth  she had a little girl Elsie, who unfortunately also died but a year or so later.

They are buried in Flaybrick cemetery In Moreton, along with other family members.

I never met my grandparents or any of the family, ( they all died before I was born)so was just wondering if there are any descendants, that can relate to this information, in Weymouth or around Dorset.

My fathers surname was changed when he was adopted, he was only two years old, so finding any family is hard, I asked on the local forums, and was given information, bringing the Owens into the family, very intriguing.

I was also told of the connection to Weymouth from this site.

I am just interested, in finding out what happened to his other siblings, I know most of them have passed, but may be some descendants are around that could solve the mystery. Thanks Chris
